Welcome to Warrior Saddlery, a traditional Saddlers and Harness makers in the heart of Wigan.

I am a City and Guilds Qualified Saddler based in the North West of England. I have a broad knowledge of leatherwork from equestrian equipment, to bowls bags, to ornaments and jewellery.

Customers and clients can rest assured that they will receive the best service, and all products will be manufactured and repaired to the highest standards using the best British materials.

The services I offer range from simple tack adjustments, full saddle reflock, saddle and bridle repairs, harness and driving collar repairs, dog and pet supplies, LARP and reenactment gear, belts, and handbag repairs.

I am also a Saddle Fitter training under The Society of Master Saddlers, who is able to adjust your saddle on site and offer a re-flocking service.

Here at Warrior Saddlery our mission is to support and continue to practice traditional and endangered saddlery and harness making techniques.

Made-to-measure bridles and accessories

Our bridles and their accessories are made from the highest quality sedgwicks leather that is handpicked myself to ensure that it has a beautiful finish, and is all hand stitched to ensure its durability and precision.

I also offer a made-to-measure service with any of my bridles where the horse is within 15 miles of WN6, similarly I can send a template for you to fill in to ensure that the bridle will fit correctly and your horse will be comfortable.

Harness making and repairs

I ensure that all of my harness work is made in such a way that it is durable and efficient as well as beautifully made.

Each item I make has its materials specifically chosen to compensate for any strain or wear that the piece is likely to face, as well as any complementary ornaments to enhance the piece.

Everyday leather items

Although I specialise in equestrian items, I can also turn my hand to making most leather items such as bags, dog collars and leads, belts and other mundane leather items. I can also repair most items from a few stitches in a jacket, to reupholstering cushions. Please contact me with any enquiries.

Personalisation

I love adding personalised touches whenever I can, from stamping initials to carving designs.

Carving leather is one of my favorite mediums, adding a decorative design to items and making them unique.

Fitting Services

As Saddlers we believe that it is important to understand the bio-mechanics of horses, and how the items we make and repair can affect the horses anatomy, their comfort, and freedom of movement.

Saddle Fitting

The horses comfort is our main priority, this is why we strive to make sure that any saddle we fit is well suited to the horse, and has the clearance to allow the horse to move freely and forwards.

We offer flocking services as well as saddle repairs, ensuring that your saddle is well maintained and comfortable for both horse and rider.

As we offer a wide range of bespoke items, we think that it is imperative that they fit correctly. this is why we offer a fitting service for bridles, headcollars, dog collars and harnesses.
